What material are the containers made from?
Glass range: the glass dishes are made from borosilicate glass and the lids from polypropylene (PP5) plastic. The cutlery set utensils are made from stainless steel.
Reusable plastic range: both the base and lids are made from polypropylene (PP5) plastic.
Are they BPA free?
Yes, they are free of Bisphenol A (BPA).
Are they FDA approved?
Yes, all our containers are certified FDA approved.
Are the containers microwave safe?
Yes, Igluu reusable plastic containers are safe to use in the microwave.
Keep the lid loose to allow steam to escape when heating food.
Ensure the container base is evenly covered with food.
Heat food in short burst of 2-3 mins and stir the food between each interval.
Are the containers oven safe?
No, it is not suitable for heating food in a conventional oven (suitable only in microwave).
Are they dishwasher safe?
Yes, they are dishwasher safe. Top rack is recommended.
Are the containers freezer safe?
Yes, they are safe to use in freezer.
Do not overfill containers. Wipe edges connecting the tray and lid so they are free from food and moisture before freezing.

Properly snap lid on, and these are leakproof.
With a bit of respect, they last well.
Just know; ALL plastic becomes more brittle when frozen. So DON'T try to prize lid off straight from freezer; leave to sit, or run under tepid water, before removing lid.
Raised lid is a useful feature.
These are the only 'prep containers' I buy.

I use these on a regular basis, ideal for batch cooking, popping in the freezer, and they’re a perfect size for our son to take food to work, as they’re microwaveable too. They are fairly durable, although care is needed with the lids, as they can occasionally snap on the corners.
